Event
Running the Rose is a trail running event at Tyler State Park, Northwoods Pavilion, 789 Park Road 16, Tyler, TX. The course uses single-track trails through East Texas pine forest with rolling hills and stands of very tall trees. Registrations are online only; paper registration on race morning is not offered. The event is cupless and all participants must carry a hydration device. Runners in the longer distances are required to carry a headlamp.

Distances:
- 7K (one 4.3 mile loop)
- 11 mile (one 11 mile loop)
- 22 mile (two 11 mile loops)
- 54K (three 11 mile loops)
- 108K (six 11 mile loops)
Aid stations are located on the loop at Mile 3.22, Mile 8.07, and Mile 11. Water and endurance drinks are available at all aid stations with food items such as fruit, sandwiches, chips, cookies, soda, and electrolyte products. Warm foods are provided at the Start/Finish and Black Jack aid stations later in the day for longer-distance runners. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish for 108K, 54K, and 22 mile runners. Pacers are permitted only for the 108K and only for the last two loops; pacers must complete the required info and waiver ahead of time. Park entry is required for anyone 13 or older; the stated park day pass cost is $6 per person. The event specifies a cancellation and transfer policy that awards race credit based on notice timing and limits refunds or transfers within two weeks of race day. Finisher recognition includes a buckle for the 108K and medals for the 54K, 22M, 11M, and 7K; prizes are listed for top overall and masters finishers in several distances.
