Running Scared 5K/13K : Seattle
Running Scared is a Halloween-themed running event held at Woodlawn Park (5000 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103) on October 18, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and provides race apparel and finisher recognition.

All athletes receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. The Deadly Double entrants earn a special Deadly Double finisher medal in addition to the event shirt. Virtual participants can run where and when they choose and will have race swag mailed to them.
Costumes are encouraged and the event uses a seasonal theme. Awards are given to the Top Three male and female overall finishers in the 5K and 13K, and to the Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories. Age group awards are presented to the top three athletes in each traditional five-year age group for both race distances. The Deadly Double also has special recognition for the Top Three male and female finishers who complete both races.
