Running Scared 5K/13K - Seattle
The Running Scared event on October 18, 2026 takes place at Green Lake Park in Seattle, WA. It offers Halloween-themed road races with costumes encouraged and a festive atmosphere. The event includes an in-person option and a virtual race option with online result submission.

- Deadly Double by completing both distances
Courses use the Bonanza Trail inside the park and are described as family and spectator friendly. Both courses are very flat. Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a long-sleeve race shirt; participants registered by October 8 (except no-shirt entries) are guaranteed swag in their size, afterwards items are available while supplies last.
Awards are given to the Top Three male and female overall finishers in each distance, plus Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories. Age-group awards are presented to the top three finishers in traditional five-year age groups for both distances. Special recognition is provided to the Top Three male and female finishers of the Deadly Double.
The virtual race allows participants to run independently, submit a virtual time online, and view official results after the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
