Running Scared 5K & 13K : Dawsonville
Running Scared is a Halloween-themed running event held at Rock Creek Park in Dawsonville, GA on 10/17/26. The event offers multiple participation options and includes race swag and awards.

All athletes who register (except No Shirt entries) by 10/07 are guaranteed a long-sleeve race shirt in their chosen size. Finishers receive a custom finisher medal. The 5K course is certified. The course inside Rock Creek Park is described as very flat and family and spectator friendly.
Awards are given to the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in both the 5K and 13K. Additional overall awards are listed for Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters categories. The top three athletes in traditional five-year age groups receive awards for each distance. Special recognition is planned for the top three male and female finishers of the Deadly Double.
A virtual race option allows participants to run at another location, submit results online, and be included in official results after the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
