Event Overview

The Running on Kindness 5K for Autism Awareness is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026. This is the second edition of the event. It is hosted at Pilla Middle School in Vineland, New Jersey, and involves all district schools and the wider community.

Course and Venue

The entire race takes place on the grounds of Pilla Middle School at 3133 S. Lincoln Avenue. The course terrain is mostly paved surfaces but also includes grassy and dirt areas in the field behind the school. The course is described as jogging stroller-friendly, provided the stroller can handle the mixed terrain. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions.

Beneficiaries and Awards

All proceeds from the event are returned to the community. They benefit three organizations: Pilla Project Unity, a club for social interactions among students; Educators 4 Autism, a local nonprofit; and Project Lifesaver, which provides GPS tracking devices for local children.

Awards will be given for the 5K race to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three students under 18 years old. Packet pick-up occurs on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
