Running Between the Vines : Sandhill Crane Vineyards, Jackson, MI
Running Between the Vines takes place at Sandhill Crane Vineyards in Jackson, Michigan on October 2, 2027. The event offers multiple course distances and a finish on the vineyard grounds with post-race music, wine tasting, and food.
Distances:
- 5K on paved roads through a tree-lined neighborhood
- 5 Mile loop (actual 5.22 miles) combining paved and dirt roads
- Half Marathon on quiet country roads through Waterloo Recreation Area, largely on dirt roads
Course and support details include a single water stop on the 5K, two water stops on the 5 Mile, and multiple aid stations on the half marathon every 2–3 miles. Half marathon stations provide water and gatorade; the mile 8 aid station also offers GU gel. Time cutoffs are 60 minutes for the 5K, 2 hours for the 5 Mile, and 3.5 hours for the half marathon; participants must be through 9.5 miles by 11:30am to continue.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Sandhill Crane Vineyards on the Friday before the race and again on race day starting in the morning. Race day parking is at East Jackson Elementary School, about 0.5 mile from the registration tent; drop bags are available at the registration tent.
