Running Between the Vines is a road and trail race held at Sandhill Crane Vineyards in Jackson, Michigan. The event offers multiple distances that finish on the vineyard grounds and includes post race music, wine tasting, and food.

Course descriptions note varied surfaces. The 5K runs on paved roads through a tree lined neighborhood. The 5 Mile is a loop that begins on pavement, includes several miles on dirt roads, and returns on pavement. The Half Marathon travels quiet country roads through Waterloo Recreation Area, with much of the route on well maintained dirt roads.

Packet pickup takes place at Sandhill Crane Vineyards on the Friday before the race and again on race morning. Race day parking is in a field north of the vineyard; organizers advise arriving early because traffic can back up and roads may close.

Time limits and aid are provided. Cutoffs are 60 minutes for the 5K, 2 hours for the 5 Mile, and 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon; Cellar Slam participants must complete the 5K in 40 minutes or less. Runners must be through 9.5 miles by 10:00 to continue. The 5K has one water stop, the 5 Mile has two water stops, and the half marathon has aid stations every 2 to 3 miles offering water and gatorade, with GU gel available at mile 8.

Every finisher receives a custom medal. Overall awards go to the top three men and women and age group awards are given three deep in five year age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
