Multi-Sport Event in Grass Lake
The Tri Goddess Triathlon is a women's multi-sport event held at the Portage Lake Unit of the Waterloo State Recreation Area in Michigan. Located 12 miles west of Chelsea, the event utilizes the natural landscape of the state park for swimming, cycling, and running. All participants must possess a Michigan State Park permit or Recreation Passport to enter the venue.
The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT), and participants are required to have either an annual or a one-day USAT membership. Following the competitions, the event hosts a post-race gathering featuring food such as pancakes and breakfast burritos for all participants.
Course Details
The bike portions of the events take place on paved roads with rolling hills, while the run courses consist of a combination of road and trail surfaces. The swimming segments are conducted in the open water of the lake. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

- Sprint Triathlon: 800m swim, 10.3 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 10.3 mile bike, and 1.5 mile run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 1.5 mile run, 10.3 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
- Sprint Aquabike: 800m swim and 10.3 mile bike.
- Sprint Triathlon Relay: Teams of 2 or 3 completing the 800m swim, 10.3 mile bike, and 3 mile run.
- Open Water Practice Swims: Non-competitive options for 800m or 1 mile distances.
