Tri Goddess Triathlon
Tri Goddess Triathlon is a women-focused event held at the Portage Lake Unit of Waterloo State Recreation Area near Grass Lake, Michigan. The event offers sprint and super sprint distances plus related formats and a timed open water practice swim.
Bike courses use paved roads with rolling hills. Runs combine road and trail surfaces. All swim segments take place in the lake. Course layouts are available from the organizer and may be changed for safety at the race director's discretion.
The event formats and segment distances include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 800-meter swim, 10.3-mile bike, 3-mile run
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400-meter swim, 10.3-mile bike, 1.5-mile run
- Sprint Duathlon: 1.5-mile run, 10.3-mile bike, 3-mile run
- Sprint Aquabike: 800-meter swim, 10.3-mile bike
- Sprint Relay: teams of two or three covering the Sprint Triathlon distances
- Open Water Practice Swim: timed 800-meter lake swim
Park entry requires a State Park permit or Recreation Passport to enter Waterloo State Recreation Area. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and requires either an annual or a one-day USAT membership; membership options and fees are provided during registration.
