Hughenden Valley 10K
The Hughenden Valley 10K is a trail running event around the National Trust Hughenden Manor estate near High Wycombe. The course covers 10 km with approximately 195 m of climb and follows a mixture of woodland and rural trails.
The route is hilly with frequent ascents and descents and includes sections that can be wet and muddy. There are no major road crossings on the course. Trail running shoes are recommended. The race is fully marked with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals are positioned on the route to aid navigation. A water station is located at 5.3 km; cups are provided and bins are available.
Event facilities are based at Hughenden Manor. Onsite amenities include car parking, toilets and a cafe. The start and finish are on the park grounds close to the church. High Wycombe train station is about a 25 minute walk from the event base. Minimum entry age is 16 and dogs are not permitted.
A GPX file of the route is provided for use with GPS watches. The event holds TRA License No. 7444 and is held under UKA rules. Entry fees are listed at £22 or £20 for UKA Affiliated runners; entry includes race entry, TRA permit, finishers souvenir, chip timing with live results, medical support, bag drop, and free parking and entry to Hughenden Manor.
