Hughenden Valley 10K
The Hughenden Valley 10K follows a route around the National Trust's Hughenden Manor estate near High Wycombe, set within the Hughenden Valley. The course uses a mixture of woodland and rural trails and includes approximately 195m of ascent across the route.
The route is fully waymarked with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals are positioned on course to aid navigation. There are no major road crossings on the route. A water stop is located at 5.3 km; disposable cups are provided and participants are asked to use the bins supplied.
Terrain is trail underfoot; some sections can be wet and muddy and trail running shoes are recommended. The event base is at Hughenden Manor, where there is car parking, fixed toilets and a cafe. The start and finish area is on the park grounds close to the church. Entry includes free parking and entry to Hughenden Manor.
Key event details: minimum age 16, dogs are not permitted, the race holds TRA licence number 7444 and is run under UKA rules. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and to age-category winners including FV40, MV40, FV50, MV50, FV60, MV60, FV70 and MV70.
