Henley Half Marathon
The Henley Half Marathon takes runners through the town, over Henley Bridge and into the countryside, returning along the Thames towpath. The route comes back through the town centre and includes "heartbreak hill", a mile long climb before a descent and a flat run back to the Rugby Club. The organiser notes many repeat entrants.
The course is supervised by a course management team of 50 marshals. Roads on the route are protected with warning signs, coning and marshalling, with concentration at pinch points and potential risk spots. Road closures are used at the start to ensure safe passage through the town centre.

Practical details include on-site bib collection only and live results uploaded and communicated to preregistered participants within 24 hours. All finishers receive a medal. Subject to a competitive field, prizes may be available for the top three overall and for top places in veteran categories V40 V50 V60 V70 for both females and males at each distance; winners will be notified by email if presentation is not possible on the day. One prize is offered for the Family Fun Run overall winner. Late entry on the day is available at the late entries tent.
Facilities include suitable medical cover, a tear-off baggage strip for bag drop, toilets in the event village, changing rooms and showers at Henley RFC, event photography, and a car park at Fawley Meadows Rg9 2NA. Water stations: Half Marathon 4, 10k 2, 5k 0. Wheelchairs are not suited to this course; devices such as buggies and pushchairs are permitted only in the Family Fun Run. Spectators are permitted.
