RunAPalooza
RunAPalooza is a spring running event on the Jersey Shore organized by the Jersey Shore Running Club. The event weekend features multiple race formats that start and finish in Asbury Park and use coastal roads and boardwalk sections through nearby shore towns. Course maps are provided by the organizer and past results and photos are recorded for previous years.
The main events described are a relay marathon, a half marathon and a 5K. The Jersey Shore Relay is for teams of one to five members and covers about 26 miles from Seaside Heights to Asbury Park along an ocean front course that runs past several boardwalks and scenic venues. The Asbury Park Half Marathon starts and finishes in Asbury Park and passes through Interlaken, Allenhurst, Deal, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach and Avon by the Sea; it is a USATF certified course and served as the 2026 NJ RRCA Half Marathon Championship race. The Jersey Shore 5K starts and finishes in Asbury Park on a fast flat course that passes Convention Hall, the Stone Pony, Madam Marie and the Great Auditorium and finishes on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
Beneficiaries have included Special Olympics, the Jersey Shore Dream Center and the Jersey Shore Running Club. The event has been held in April in past years and the 30th year is planned for 3 April 2027 with registration expected to open in October.
