RUN585 Race Series
RUN585 is a three-race summer running series held at the Genesee Waterways Center in Genesee Valley Park, Rochester, New York. The series uses the Genesee River Path and crosses pedestrian bridges along the river. Organizers note that the course will be adjusted for 2026 due to construction on the west side of the river; the route will remain on the river path.
The series includes three separate race dates:
- 5K (The Big Run) : Wednesday, June 3
- 8K (Summer in the City) : Wednesday, July 8
- 5K (Hot Summer Night) : Wednesday, August 5
Participants may register for the full three-race series or for individual races. There is no day-of registration. Packet pickup is available ahead of the first race at Fleet Feet at The Armory, plus onsite packet pickup on race days.
Finisher medals are awarded for each race. Series participants receive a custom backpack with velcro patches, series awards, and mailed series awards after the final race for those who complete all races. Individual race awards include overall male and female winners and age-group awards. Other event features listed by the organizers include electronic timing, online results, a custom finisher certificate, post-race food with Texas barbecue and at least one event offering a large baked potato, and optional event T-shirt purchases.
