RUN585 Race Series
RUN585 is a three-race summer series held at the Genesee Waterways Center in Genesee Valley Park, Rochester, New York. The series includes three road or path events on the Genesee River Path, with routes that cross pedestrian bridges and finish at the Genesee Waterways Center, 149 Elmwood Avenue.
Distances in the series:
- 5K, The Big Run, Wednesday, June 3
- 8K, Summer in the City, Wednesday, July 8
- 5K, Hot Summer Night, Wednesday, August 5
Registration is available for the full three-race series or for individual races. There is no day of registration. Packet pickup is offered before each race including a pre-race pickup at Fleet Feet at The Armory on the day before the first race and race site pickup on event days.
Series participants receive finisher medals for each race, a custom backpack with velcro patches distributed at the second race, series awards, online results, electronic timing, post race food, and a custom finisher certificate. Individual race participants receive a finisher medal, online results, electronic timing, post race food, and a finisher certificate. T shirts are available for purchase for an additional fee until June 3.
Awards include overall male and female and age group awards. Series awards require completion of all three races. The course will remain on the river path though an adjusted route may be used in 2026 due to construction near the Ford Street Bridge. The event notes that dates, locations, or formats may be changed or canceled and that refunds or transfers are not allowed unless stated otherwise.
