Run4Hope - 5 km and 10 km
Run4Hope offers 5K and 10K events for runners and walkers at Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre, 1660 North Park Road, Brampton, Ontario. The event includes on-course support and post-race provisions.
Distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The route starts in the recreation centre parking area, follows local streets and then a path around the lake. The course is mostly flat with a couple of small inclines. Volunteers and first aid will be available along the route. Marshals and police will direct runners where only portions of the road are closed; participants should follow instructions and use caution when crossing streets.
Two water stations are provided, one near the halfway point and one at the finish. Washrooms and changing facilities are available inside the recreation centre. Walkers receive a finishers medal and are asked to line up at the back of the start. A two hour time limit applies to the event. Strollers are permitted but should start near the rear; pets and roller blades are not allowed. Designated parking is available at Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre (capacity 80 cars) with additional parking at St. John Bosco School and nearby street parking.
Race kits are available for pickup Saturday at the Winston Churchill Running Room location and Sunday at Professor’s Lake. Each kit includes a bib with integrated timing chip and a technical shirt. A bag drop area is provided outside the recreation centre. Snacks and water will be available after the race. All finishers receive a medal; awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to the first place youth team. The event lists knightstable.org as the race charity. The event has a maximum registration cap of 400 entrants with specific caps for each distance. Volunteers are sought for roles across the event and student volunteers can receive hour sign-off.
