5 Peaks Trail Running at Kelso Conservation Area
The event takes place at Kelso Conservation Area, also known as Glen Eden when used as a ski hill. The park has an extensive network of trails used in spring, summer and fall for hiking, trail running and mountain biking. Course terrain includes forested trails, climbs, descents and technical sections.
Offered distances include:
- Kid's Race 1 km
- Kid's Race 3 km
- Sport Run or Hike 6.9 km
- Enduro Run or Hike 13.8 km
- Grit Run 20.6 km
Maps, elevation profiles and aid station locations are provided and distances may change based on trail conditions. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be out more than an hour should carry a receptacle for liquids and calories. The course rules prohibit dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers and nordic walking poles. Washroom facilities are available at the start / finish area and parking is limited. Swag and optional finisher medals are not included in base registration prices and can be purchased separately. Podium medals are awarded by gender and age category and must be picked up at the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
