5 Peaks - Kelso
The event takes place at Kelso Conservation Area, a park that operates as the Glen Eden ski hill in winter. In spring, summer and fall the site offers an extensive network of trails used for hiking, trail running and mountain biking.
Offered distances:
- Kid's Race - 1 km
- Kid's Race - 3 km
- Sport Run or Hike - 6.9 km
- Enduro Run or Hike - 13.8 km
- Grit Run - 20.6 km
Course maps include elevation gain and loss and aid station locations. Race distances and maps may change based on trail conditions up to the day of the event.
Registration fees for individual events do not include swag or finisher medals. Swag and optional finisher medals can be purchased through Race Roster or on site. The finisher medals are described as sustainably sourced wooden medals made in Canada.
Logistics and rules: the event is cup-free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish and at one or more aid stations. Participants expecting to be out longer than an hour are advised to carry a receptacle for liquids and calories. Dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles are not allowed on course. Washroom facilities are available at the start/finish area. Spectators are welcome; best viewing is from the start/finish area. Parking is limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
