run4DAD 5K Run/Walk
run4DAD is an annual community event in Alpharetta, Georgia that raises awareness and funds for prostate cancer education and support. The event is presented by Wellstar and benefits ProstAware, a Georgia nonprofit dedicated to prostate cancer awareness and education for men and their families. The main gathering location is the Wills Park Pool Parking Lot at 1815 Old Milton Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009.
The event program includes multiple distance options and participation formats:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run/Walk
- 50 Yards kids Tot Trot
Options listed by the organizer include a timed 5K with age-group prizes and a special entry category for prostate cancer survivors with reduced fees. A virtual 5K and a snooze4DAD option allow supporting the cause without attending in person; race shirts are provided for participants in the 5K, the 1 Mile and snooze4DAD. Registered children in the kids Tot Trot receive a run4DAD cape. Prizes are awarded to winners in multiple age brackets for the 5K.
Early packet pick-up is available at Big Peach Running Co., 5530 Windward Parkway Suite 420, Alpharetta, GA 30004. Parking is available at the Wills Park Swimming Pool lot until it fills, with additional parking possibly available near downtown Alpharetta.
