Run Your Heart Out 5K : Old Washington
The Run Your Heart Out 5K is a community run and walk held in Old Washington, Ohio, with the start and finish at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds, 335 Old National Road. The event includes a timed Race division and a Family Fun Run/Walk division and covers a 5K course that runs through the fairgrounds and through Old Washington.
All participants receive a custom finishers medal. Overall awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the Race division; Family Fun Run/Walk participants are not eligible for those overall awards. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in these groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
A bonus Grand Prix medal is offered to participants who register for all six 2026 Grow races, which include Run Your Ice Off, Run Your Heart Out, Shamrock Shuffle, Splash and Dash 5k Cambridge Developmental Center, LifeWise Academy of Guernsey County 5k, and Run, Run Rudolph 5k.
Race day services include bib pickup at Cambridge Intermediate School, finish line food and snacks, and bottled water. Automatic race results are available for participants who opt in and instant results are provided on site and via the event website. Entry fees are listed as $25 or $20 for GROW members, with a three-race package priced at $70 or $55 for GROW members. If an in-person race cannot be held due to severe weather or public health concerns, registrations will be converted to a non-refundable virtual event.
