Bigfoot - Kimbolton, OH
Bigfoot is a two-day trail running event held at Salt Fork State Park Lodge in Kimbolton, Ohio, on December 5 and 6, 2026. The event uses a well marked 10.4 mile loop entirely inside Salt Fork State Park. The route follows hiking and bridle trails, includes rolling hills, and is marked with pink blazes and permanent wooden signs.
The race uses the loop format: the 50K is three loops totaling more than 4,000 feet of elevation gain, the 20 mile event is two loops, and 10 mile entrants complete one loop. Saturday features the 50K, 20 mile, and a 10 mile event; Sunday features a separate 10 mile event. Awards are given for each event, including top overall finishers and age-group awards in five year increments. Donations from the event benefit Guernsey County Sheriff’s Mounted Search and Rescue.
Swag options include a triblend tee plus finisher medal or a hoodie plus finisher medal with a stated premium, and additional add-on options are offered. The event is part of the Ohio Endurance Series; participants who qualify in the series may receive trading cards and series awards for overall and masters categories.
