Event overview
Bigfoot takes place Saturday–Sunday, December 6–7, 2025, at Salt Fork State Park Lodge in Kimbolton, Ohio (11073 Natural Resources Rd 3). The weekend includes multiple trail distances:
- 50K
- 20 Mile
- 10 Mile - Saturday
- 10 Mile - Sunday
Saturday features the 50K, 20 mile and a 10 mile race; Sunday features a separate 10 mile event. The race typically draws over 800 participants and awards are given for all events.
Course, logistics and extras
The course is a well marked 10.4 mile loop with rolling hills on hiking and bridle trails entirely within Salt Fork State Park. The route is marked with pink blazes and permanent wooden signs. Runners in the 50K complete three loops (totaling over 4,000 feet of elevation gain), 20 milers run two loops, and 10 milers run one loop. Participants may use a drop bag that is accessible at the completion of each 10 mile loop.
Registration pricing is set in Early, Regular and Late tiers for each distance. Swag options include a triblend tee with Finisher Medal or a hoodie with Finisher Medal (hoodie has a $25 premium). Lodging is available at Salt Fork Lodge; lodge rooms require a two-night minimum and deposits are refundable up to 72 hours before arrival. Donations benefit Guernsey County Sheriff’s Mounted Search and Rescue. RaceJoy is provided for live GPS tracking and progress alerts.
