Event Overview

The Run with the Roosters 4-Miler is a 4-mile road running and walking event. It takes place at Sabino Canyon in Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The event is described as a Tucson summertime tradition.

Event Details

The race is open to runners and walkers, with the course closing at 7:00 AM. Participants must finish by that time. The event is open to ages 5 to 105. Team divisions are available for dad + son, dad + daughter, and dad + two kids.

Participants receive a custom race shirt, available in separate male and female versions. A free Mexican breakfast and free race photos are provided. Awards include overall and 5-year age group rooster trophies. The male and female overall winners also receive free running shoes from Fleet Feet.

Logistics

The event features chip timing. Participants must wear their bib on the front of their body to be timed, as the chip is on the back of the bib. Dogs are not permitted in Sabino Canyon.

Bib pick-up is available on June 11 at Fleet Feet on Tanque Verde and on June 12 at Fleet Feet on Oracle Road. Registration on June 11 means bibs are only available at the Oracle location on June 12. Registration on June 12 means bibs are only available at the race.

Parking is available in the Sabino Canyon main parking lot. A Coronado National Forest parking pass is required and can be purchased in advance or at a park kiosk. An annual pass is also valid. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
