Run With the Rams 5K
The Run With the Rams 5K is an annual community event held at Clarke Middle School and High School in Westbury, New York. This event occurs rain or shine and is open to runners and walkers of various ages and experience levels. Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 1 mile Run/Walk
The course begins and ends at the Clarke MS/HS campus located at 740 Edgewood Drive. Registration includes a race t-shirt for participants. Those who register at least three weeks before the event are eligible to receive a personalized bib with their name printed on it. On the day of the event, participants can collect their materials at the school gymnasium.
The event features several award categories for the top three male and female finishers, including divisions for East Meadow School District (EMSD) faculty, elementary age, middle school age, high school age, and an open category. For the 1-mile distance, special awards are available for the top three overall finishers in grades K-5.
Proceeds from the event support the local community. A portion of the funds is allocated to a Clarke community member or family in need, while the remainder supports Clarke Athletics. Live results, along with finish line photos and video, are provided to participants electronically following the completion of the race.
