3rd Annual Equal Footing 5K
The event is a community 5K organized by Let's Include Landon to support disability inclusion. It takes place on June 13, 2026 at Marvin Efird Park, 8909 New Town Rd, Waxhaw, NC. The event presents opportunities for children with and without disabilities to take part in shared activities.
The course runs through wooded, shaded trails. On-site features include painting part of a community mural, a Charlottetown Hops FC autograph and photo area, hydration station, face paint, balloon art, ice cream, a fire truck visit, medals, and partner tables. Prizes are planned for the top three male and female finishers, best decade outfits, and for the most players registered from a sports team or league. A silent auction will be held during the event.
Registration information provided lists a fee of $20 and registration opening January 28, 2026 and closing February 28, 2026. There is an option to pick up shirt and bib on June 10 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Charlotte Running Company, Promenade location. The organizing group also runs inclusive sports clinics and camps and lists an inclusive basketball camp scheduled for June 29 to July 2.
