Event Overview

The Run with Dad 5K is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2026, at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia. It offers a combination of live and virtual race options.

Distances

The event includes four race categories:

A live 5K
A live 1 Mile Fun Run
A Virtual 5K
A Virtual 1 Mile

Event Details

The live races start at South Lakes High School, located at 11400 South Lakes Drive. The event will be electronically timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system.

All pre-registered participants receive a commemorative race shirt, a unique bib, a medal, post-race snacks, free downloadable race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in the live race, as well as to the top three in various age groups. No awards are offered for the virtual races.
