The Run With Dad 5K takes place on June 21, 2026 in Reston, VA at South Lakes High School, 11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston, VA 20191. A course map is listed as coming soon.

Race details and logistics

Registration prices listed are $40 for the 5K and Virtual 5K, and $30 for the 1 Mile and Virtual 1 Mile. Prices increase after May 22, 2026. Packet pickup is available at =PR= Reston.

All pre-registered participants receive a race shirt, a race bib, a medal, post-race snacks, free race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Race photos are free to download after the event; bibs should be visible for photo tagging.

The live race will be electronically timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Awards in the live race will go to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and to top 3 male and female age-group finishers in five-year age increments from 14 and under through 80 and over. There are no awards for the virtual race. Results will be posted after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
