Run With Dad 5K - Event
The Run With Dad event takes place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Reston, VA at South Lakes High School, 11400 South Lakes Drive. The event includes these distances and options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 1 Mile

Logistics and extras
Entry fees listed on the event page are $40 for the 5K and Virtual 5K, and $30 for the 1 Mile and Virtual 1 Mile. Prices increase after May 22, 2026. Packet pickup is available at =PR= Reston. The live 5K is electronically timed by Commonwealth Race Management using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Awards in the live race will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups from 14 and under through 80 and over. There are no awards for the virtual race. Pre-registered participants receive a race shirt, a race bib, a medal, post-race snacks, free race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Race photos are free to download after the event; participants are asked to keep their bib visible for photo tagging. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
