About the race
The Run With Compassion event at Starmount High School brings together a chip-timed 5K run/walk on the school cross country course and a short, informal Pastor Dash sprint. The 5K is described as suitable for school-age kids, families, and youth groups and is organized to support Compassion Care Center; proceeds are used to raise awareness and provide free life-affirming services to the local community.
Registration fees are noted and may change over time; a group discount is available for groups of 12 or more. To be assured of receiving an event T-shirt, participants must pre-register by 12:00 noon on October 31, 2026. Waivers must be completed for all participants at registration.
Awards are planned across multiple categories, including overall male and female winners, a masters division for age 40 and over, and age-group places for youth and adults. The Pastor Dash is a short, lighthearted race inviting pastors from local churches to compete in a friendly sprint while their congregations watch and cheer.
