Rosy Cheeks 5K overview
The Rosy Cheeks 5K is the 18th annual community race in Mount Airy, NC, held on December 13, 2025, at Riverside Park. The event is organized with Mount Airy Parks and Recreation and includes the Mount Airy Police Department Toy Drive. The race features a holiday theme with "Team Naughty" and "Team Nice" shirt options.

Entry, shirts and donations
The 5K entry fee is $20 plus a toy donation. The Fun Run is free. A T-shirt-only purchase with a toy donation is available for $20 through December 3. The 5K registration includes a Rosy Cheeks long-sleeve performance "Team Naughty" or "Team Nice" race T-shirt. Fun Run T-shirts may be purchased for $20. Shirts are available while supplies last.
Participants are asked to bring an unwrapped toy, gift, or gift card for elementary, middle, or high school-age children for the toy drive. Toys will be collected at the race or may be dropped off at Reeves Community Center from November 24 to December 12.
Course and awards
The 5K course runs along the Ararat River Greenway, starting at Riverside Park and proceeding to a 5K turnaround located 1.55 miles out. Course signage will mark the route.
Awards include a holiday costume contest with Food Lion prizes and 5K awards for the top 3 male and female overall winners. Age-group awards for top 3 male and female finishers are given in these brackets: 10 and Under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
