Run Wild for Wildwood
Run Wild for Wildwood is a community running event held at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The event offers timed race options and provides participant swag and awards.

Registration opens March 1 and closes August 19. Event entry prices are listed per distance; additional donations made during registration will benefit Wildwood Park. Participants receive a swag bag that may include a special edition T-shirt, a sticker, and Honey Stinger snacks; shirts and special giveaways are not guaranteed after August 1. Swag bags can be picked up at the Olewine Nature Center on August 20-21 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm or on race day.
Course and logistics: the 5K is one counterclockwise lap around the lake using Wildwood Way Trail and the Towpath Trail; the 10K is two laps on the same route. The start and finish are located near the Nature Center parking area. Parking is available in multiple Wildwood Park lots, including the Nature Center, South, Middle, and North lots; the North Lot is about 1.5 miles from the start area. Additional parking is available at HACC adjacent to the South Lot.
Participants may race with leashed dogs. Children under age 12 may participate only if accompanied by an adult. Awards are given to top overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. There are no refunds; all sales are final.
