Event overview
Run Wild for Wildwood takes place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg, PA. The event offers two race distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes on August 26. Entry fees listed in the event information are $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K. No refunds are offered; all sales are final. Additional donations made during registration will benefit Wildwood Park.
Course, logistics and extras
The 5K course is one lap around the lake using the Wildwood Way Trail and the Towpath Trail in a counterclockwise direction; the 10K is two laps of the same route. The start and finish area is located by the outdoor restroom near the Nature Center parking lot. Participants may pick up race swag and bibs at the Olewine Nature Center on select days before the race or on race day. Registration includes a special edition T-shirt (not guaranteed after August 1), a Run Wild for Wildwood sticker, Honey Stinger snacks, and a virtual race bib.
Parking is available in multiple Wildwood Park lots, including Nature Center, South, Middle and North lots; the North Lot is about 1.5 miles from the start. Dogs are permitted if leashed. Children under 12 may participate only when accompanied by an adult. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall and to the top three male and female in each age group.
