Event overview
Run Whitstable & Herne Bay Spring is a road/path running event at Hampton Pier Recreation Ground, Herne Bay, CT6 8EJ, along the Whitstable and Herne Bay coastline. Distances offered are:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
Entries are listed with prices of 5k £25, 10k £25 and half marathon £30. Online entries close on 15 March 2026 unless the event sells out. All entrants receive a medal and chip timing on a bib, with instant results published via the event timing system. Trophies are awarded to overall winners of each distance.
Course and race-day details
The route is described as a flat path course suitable for road running shoes. The 5k turns back at 2.5 km and the 10k turns back at 5 km. The half marathon begins with a 1.1 km out-and-back section before completing the 10k section twice. The course may be altered up to event day. Water is provided at the start/finish and at the 5 km point. The event is wheelchair friendly and buggies are permitted. Marshals are positioned around the course. Parking near the event hub is limited and Herne Bay railway station is about a 10-15 minute walk from the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
