Event overview
The Canterbury 10 Mile Road Race is a 10-mile road race held on 25 January 2026 at the University of Kent Sports Centre, Sports Centre Road, Canterbury, Kent CT2 7NL. The race is licensed by England Athletics and organised by Invicta East Kent AC. The course is new for 2026, undulating and largely traffic free. It begins with a one-mile loop around the university, then follows a larger loop toward Whitstable via the villages of Tyler Hill and Radfall, returning along the Crab and Winkle Way to finish close to the start on Sports Centre Road. The course is not suitable for wheelchair competitors.
Logistics and services
Race HQ is the University of Kent Sports Centre; the main sports hall houses registration, toilets, refreshments and the prize presentation. Numbers and disposable timing chips can be collected either on race day or the day before in the sports centre foyer. A baggage area is provided in Small Hall 2 with bag drop tags attached to race numbers. Additional toilets are available in Jennison College and there are limited changing areas. There are two water stations on course at 3.5 miles and 7.8 miles, marshals on the route, and medical cover. Finishers receive a bespoke finisher medal and can collect water and energy bars.
