Event Overview
The Run White & Blue is a running event held on July 4, 2026, in Huntersville, North Carolina. This will be the 9th annual edition. The event supports military veteran and first responder organizations in the Lake Norman region.
Beneficiaries
The event's returning beneficiaries are Purple Heart Homes, which provides housing for service-connected disabled and aging veterans, and the Firefighters' Burned Children Fund, which supports burn survivors and promotes burn prevention.
Course Details
The event offers several distances:
- 7.4 Miler
- 7.4 Kilometer
- Fun Run (1.76 mile)
- 7.4 VIRTUAL (virtual option)
The mile and kilometer courses are double-loop style. Runners complete an "outside" loop, pass through the finish area, and then complete an "inside" loop before finishing. The course will be coned, signed, and protected from traffic, with the outside lane remaining open for traffic flow. Participants must pass the split timer at the start/finish arch on each loop to be included in the official results.
Logistics
The event address is 13420 Reese Blvd W, Huntersville, NC. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Fleet Feet Birkdale Village and on race day at the start line (Daetwyler Plaza). Event parking is available at most area businesses, but parking is prohibited at the start/finish line (Daetwyler Plaza) and several other specified locations.
