Run White and Boom
Run White and Boom is a running event held in Bement, Illinois. The event offers two distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Both routes start and finish at the Piatt County Forest Preserve. The 5K is an officially timed race, while the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is an untimed event intended for leisure. On the 5K course, a water station is provided for participants.
After completing their respective distances, participants have access to snacks, water, and Gatorade. For those participating in the 5K, an awards ceremony recognizes the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, including 10 and under, 11-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Event shirts are provided to participants, with availability guaranteed for those who register by mid-June. A limited supply of extra shirts may be available on the day of the event. On-site registration and check-in are available at the venue prior to the start, and the organizers encourage festive or patriotic attire for the occasion.
