Run, Walk, or Roll for Independence - Midwest City
The sixth annual Run, Walk, or Roll for Independence is organized by Mid-Del Group Home as a series of community events to raise funds for the organization. The events are held on the Regional Park Trail adjacent to the Mid-Del Group Home Workshop at 1540 Republic Circle, Midwest City, OK 73110.
The event program includes the following options:
- 5K road race
- 1 mile Fun Run
- 3.2 miles Virtual Run
Registration opens on 2026-06-09 and closes on 2026-08-21. Published registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the Fun Run, and $10.00 for the Virtual Run. For the virtual option, participants are invited to post a screenshot of their run to the event's Facebook page to be entered to win a prize. T-shirt and bib will be mailed to virtual participants.
All proceeds benefit Mid-Del Group Home. The organization provides services and care to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, with stated goals to enhance independence, encourage integration, and promote respect for individual rights.
