Run / Walk on the Bayou
Run / Walk on the Bayou takes place on February 28, 2026, at Bayou Segnette State Park on the Westbank Expressway in Westwego, Louisiana. The event offers in-person and virtual entry options and includes course maps for each distance.

- 1/2 Mile Kids Dash (ages 14 and under, free)
The routes run through Bayou Segnette State Park and pass marsh areas and cypress trees; local wildlife may be visible along the course. A race day registration and packet pickup are available, and an awards ceremony is part of the event schedule. Virtual entries include a T-shirt, bib, and medallion mailed to the participant; the virtual entry deadline is February 15. Registration fees vary by registration period.
