Event Overview
The MCRRC Run Under the Lights is a 5 km run/walk event held in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The event is organized by the City of Gaithersburg in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club.
Course & Setting
The course takes place on the roads of Seneca Creek State Park during the park's Winter Lights Festival. The roads are closed to general traffic during the race. The festival setting features more than 380 illuminated displays and 65 animated light displays. Race registration includes entry into the park.
Practical Information
On-site parking is available free of charge. The event is known to sell out quickly, often within a few days, and a waitlist system is activated once capacity is reached.
