Run to the Taproom - Mully's Brewery Father's Day 5K
Run to the Taproom is a community road race held on Father's Day at Mully's Brewery in Prince Frederick, Maryland. The event is organized by Good Day for a Run, LLC and returns for its third year at the brewery. It includes the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Run for ages 14 and under
The 5K is chip timed and is set on mostly flat roads. Walkers of all ages and paces are welcome but must be registered and start behind runners for participant safety. Organizers request a one hour time limit for the 5K. The course has a water station and course marshals, and finishers receive water and a snack.
The kids 1 mile and 5K kids fields are chip timed; those youth participants receive a finisher's medal and a root beer. All 5K participants receive an upgraded custom tech shirt, a pint glass, and a ticket for one craft beer; those under 21 receive a finisher medal and root beer instead of a beer. Awards will be presented to overall and age group winners for males and females, with three deep placements across specified age ranges.
The event includes an after party with craft beer, a food truck, free photos, and a professional photographer. The race supports Patuxent Habitat for Humanity, runs rain or shine, and has no refunds or deferrals. Packet pick up is available on race day at the Good Day for a Run tent. Volunteers receive a craft beer or root beer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
