Run to the Beach - Tahoe Vista
The event offers two trail distances that begin at North Tahoe Regional Park and finish on the sandy shore at Tahoe Vista Recreation Area Beach. Courses lead runners through native pine forests and scenic single-track trails before arriving at the beach, where swimming and relaxing are possible.
Distances
- 5K course through pine forests and single-track trails.
- 10K course through forests and trails, including a memorable climb.
Parking is available at North Tahoe Regional Park for a small fee; the park is less than a mile from the race finish. An attire and costume contest takes place at the finish area with relaxed judging by fellow participants and prizes awarded.
Entry benefits listed for participants include an event t-shirt, a free digital race photo, post-event music and food and beverages, recovery food such as fruit, and on-course medical staff. Awards are given by age group and gender in five-year increments based on age as of December 31 in the race year; an award requires a minimum of five participants in that age group by gender.
Discounts are available for clubs and teams, challenged athletes (30 percent), and military participants (20 percent); military ID is required at packet pick-up and check-in. The event is scheduled for July 4th in Lake Tahoe, with evening fireworks or a drone light show planned locally. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
