14th Annual Run to Remember
The Run to Remember is an annual community event held at Mission County Park in San Antonio. Now in its 14th year, the event supports the Alzheimer’s Association of San Antonio and South Texas through the "Beard vs Beans" fundraising initiative.
Participants can choose from a wide variety of distances and event types:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K
- Assisted Wheelchair Duo 5K
- Assisted Wheelchair Duo 10K
- .5K Beer Race
- .5K Kids Run
- Sleep-In Donation/Virtual
All finishers of the 5K and 10K events receive a commemorative medal and an event shirt. Participants in the .5K Beer Race receive a beer mug, with a special award presented to the winner. For the .5K Kids Run, finishers receive a medal, and shirts are available for separate purchase.
The event features a team competition where the group with the highest number of registered participants will have their team name printed on the official race day shirts. All proceeds from the various races are donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. A packet pick-up is organized on the Friday preceding the race at Fleet Feet San Antonio-Culebra Commons.
