Chaskis Run
Chaskis Run is a charity 5K run and walk held in San Antonio on November 21, 2026. The event is presented by Engineers Without Borders at UTSA, student chapter, together with Texas Partners of the Americas. Proceeds will be donated to Texas Partners of the Americas to support relief efforts in Vina Vieja, Peru, and ongoing projects in Texas, Perú and Mexico.
The course distance is 3.1 Miles. Chip timing is provided by IAAP. There are no finisher medals; awards are given to the top three finishers by gender in multiple age groups and to overall male and female winners as well as masters winners. Age group awards are listed by the organizer as 1-14, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 plus, and award placement is based on chip time while overall winner awards are based on gun time. There is no duplication of awards.
Event fees vary by date with no refunds. Early bird pricing is $30 until June 15th, $35 starting June 16th, $40 starting October 1st, and $45 on race day. Packet pick-up is available at the race site on race day. At the finish area, llamas will be present for participants to see. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
