About the race
The Chaskis Run is a community running event at 19399 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78257, presented by Texas Partners of the Americas (TPOA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Proceeds support TPOA programs in education, youth leadership, cultural exchange, workforce development, and community service projects in Texas, Peru, and Mexico.
The event program includes:
- 3.1 Miles Chaskis 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
Entry fees vary by registration date. No refunds. Fee structure for the 5K: $30 early bird until June 15, $35 from June 16, $40 from October 1, and $45 on race day. The 1-mile entry is $20, $25 on race day. Shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by October 20.
Timing and awards are handled as follows: chip timing is provided by IAAP. There are no finisher medals; age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age groups (1-14, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Age group awards are based on chip time. Overall male and female winners and masters are based on gun time. No duplication of awards.
Packet pick-up is available at the race site on race day. Llamas will be present at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
