Event Information

This is the 16th annual Run to Rebuild, an in-person event featuring two distances: a timed 5K run and a 2-mile walk. Both courses take place on Forbidden Drive in Fairmount Park.

The event supports housing justice work in Philadelphia. Funds raised go towards repairing and transforming owner-occupied historic rowhomes into safe, healthy, and energy-efficient spaces. The organization behind the event reports having repaired over 2,468 homes since 1988.

All participants, regardless of gender, can earn medals. Medals are awarded to the top two overall finishers and the top three finishers in each of eight specified age categories.

The start and finish location is at 200 W Northwestern Ave in Philadelphia. A parking plan is provided for participants. Registration for in-person events costs $35, with a noted price increase after April 16, 2026. Virtual participation options are also available for the same distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
