The Arthritis Foundation 5K Run/Walk to Milwaukee Irish Fest
The Arthritis Foundation organizes a 5-kilometer run and walk routed along Milwaukee's lakefront. Participants may choose to run or walk the marked course. The event takes place at Urban Park, 1070 E. Michigan Street, Milwaukee, WI.
On event day there is day-of registration and packet pick-up, a KidZone, a rally speech and a performance by a local Irish dance group, and a pre-race warm-up. After the course there is a post-race celebration that includes an award ceremony for the top three male and top three female finishers, a costume contest, and live music. The running and walking activities are presented in conjunction with Milwaukee Irish Fest, and festival gates open later in the day.
