Event Overview
The Run to FosterHope is a running event scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026. The event takes place at William Land Park in Sacramento, California. It is the fifth annual edition of the run.
Races
The event includes the following races:
- 5K (3.1 miles): A flat course on the park trails, located next to Fairytale Town, Funderland, and the Sacramento Zoo. The course uses roads inside the park and runners complete two loops.
- 3K (1.5 mile)
- Free Kids Fun Run Dash: For participants aged 8 and under.
The 5K and 3K races share the same start time. The kids run starts later. The races are chip-timed by a professional service. Strollers are permitted on the course.
Venue and Festival
The start and finish line is at the Village Green area at the corner of Freeport Boulevard and Sutterville Road. After the races, a Family Fun Festival is scheduled to run until the afternoon. The festival includes vendors, food trucks, information booths, kids' activities, games, and a raffle.
Registration
All paid registrations for the 5K and 3K include a t-shirt and a finisher's medal, though these are not guaranteed for late registrants on race day. Registration and packet pickup opens on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
