Holiday Hustle 5K & 10K Sacramento
The Holiday Hustle is a map-based team event held in Sacramento. Participants navigate neighborhood streets to visit decorated houses, answer simple multiple choice questions at checkpoints, and return to the finish for snacks and socializing. The event runs rain or shine; closed-toed shoes are recommended.
Distances:
- 5 km course with about 20 checkpoints
- 10 km course with about 36 checkpoints
Teams may consist of one to five people. Gender divisions are Women, Men, and Mixed. Age divisions include Junior, Open, Masters (average age 40+), and Family (juniors and adults). Course checkpoints are shown as circles on the map; teams find the house at the center of each circle and answer a question such as "Who is dressed as Santa on the roof?" before moving to the next checkpoint.
The event meeting place is the Valley Oak Park Picnic Shelter, 2780 Mabry Dr., Sacramento, CA 95835. Registration is offered online and day-of registration is available. A full refund is provided if a participant cancels for any reason. After completing the course, participants turn in an answer sheet with their team name and member names at the finish and may enjoy snacks and drinks.
