Run the Wild Half Marathon - Autumn Edition

Run the Wild Half Marathon is a guided trail event in the Chiltern Hills that covers about 21.1 km (13 miles) with an ascent of around 300 m. The event is organised as a half-day activity and is offered in spring and autumn editions; examples listed include 10 October 2026 (Autumn) and 13 March 2027 (Spring).

The route runs over undulating chalk hills and through local woods. Participants are grouped by ability and led by local English Athletics qualified run leaders who provide basic trail instruction during the event. Steep sections are walked when required. A well stocked refreshment point is provided just over halfway and a finisher’s medal and a Trees not Tees certificate are included.

Facilities at the start location (Church Farm Cafe, Aldbury) include on-site parking, a cafe, toilets and bag drop. Rail access is within a 15-minute walk; the organiser notes the venue is approximately 30 minutes north west of London by rail or road. The event permits dogs only with cani-cross equipment. Spectator locations are supplied in a briefing email prior to the event.

Entry is limited (50 spaces noted) and the organiser provides a mandatory kit list. Personal insurance and travel are not included. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
