Event Overview
The Run the Vineyards - Sheldrake Point Winery 5K is an outdoor running event held at Sheldrake Point Winery in Ovid, New York. The event takes place on a 200-acre vineyard property overlooking Cayuga Lake. Participants follow a cross-country style course that consists of wide trails featuring a mix of short cut grass and packed dirt.

The race is chip-timed with results streamed live. The course includes a water station, and additional water and bananas are provided at the finish line. There is a one-hour time limit to complete the course, and the event welcomes both walkers and children. All participants must be registered to be on the course.
Amenities and Awards
Every participant receives a high-quality tech shirt and a "Run the Vineyards" stemless wine glass upon finishing. Souvenir finisher medals are available for an additional fee. There are awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group winners ranging from under 14 to over 70.
After Party and Logistics
After the race, finishers aged 21 and older receive a complimentary glass of wine. The post-race celebration includes live music, an on-site food truck, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Participants are permitted to bring their own blankets and chairs. Free parking is available on-site, and runners can access free downloadable photos after the event. The race is held rain or shine.
