Run the Vineyards - Running Hare 5K
The event is a chip-timed 5K run/walk through the scenic Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, Maryland, held on September 19, 2026. Registration opens April 30, 2026 and closes July 18, 2026; the registration fee is $44.00. A one-hour time limit for the course is requested.
Registration includes a custom shirt if the registrant selects a size by August 31, 2026; shirts are not included for registrations after that date. Each registration also includes a drink ticket for one complimentary glass of Running Hare wine for participants aged 21 and over with valid ID. Additional discounted drink tickets may be purchased during registration. Drink tickets must be cashed in by 11:59 AM. Participants receive a souvenir finisher medal.
Awards include pins for Overall Male and Overall Female plus the top three males and females in these age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
Packet pickup is available on race day from 7:30 to 8:30 AM at the Holly's Heart Foundation tent. The event is rain or shine; there are no transfers or refunds. No strollers or dogs are allowed on course. Spectators are welcome and the winery is open for business during the event until 11:59 AM; purchases during that time support Holly's Heart Foundation.
