Event Overview
The Run the Vineyards - Ingleside Vineyards 5K/8K is an annual running event held at Ingleside Vineyards in Colonial Beach. The event features two distances through 50 acres of vineyard terrain:
- 5K
- 8K Run
The course is an off-road route characterized by rolling hills and well-marked trails. Both races are chip-timed and include support from course marshals and water stations. Bananas and water are provided for all participants at the finish line.
Participant Amenities and Awards
Registered runners receive a high-quality tech shirt, available in various sizes and styles. All finishers receive a Run the Vineyards stemless wine glass. Participants aged 21 and over also receive a complimentary glass of wine. Finisher medals are available as an optional purchase.
Award medals are presented to the top three overall male and female winners, as well as winners in various age groups ranging from 14 and under to those over 70. Professional race and after-party photos are provided as free downloads following the event.
Post-Race Activities
After the races, participants and spectators can attend a party on the winery's outdoor patio. This gathering includes live music and a food truck vendor with options available for purchase.
