Event Overview
Run the Runway takes place at the Minute Man Air Field, utilizing the paved surfaces of the local airport. The course is designed to be flat and level, as participants move along the runway and taxiway. The event serves as a benefit for the Boxborough and Stow Conservation Trusts.
The available distances for the event include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run
The 5K course is open to both runners and walkers, and the use of strollers is permitted on the path. For the younger participants, there is a dedicated fun run. While there is no registration fee for the Kids Fun Run, donations are accepted to support the beneficiaries.
Following the completion of the races, an awards ceremony is held on-site. The event also features a social gathering where members of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 196 prepare burgers and hot dogs for attendees. Participants have the option to pick up their bibs or register in person on the morning of the event at the airfield location in Stow.
