The Shamrock New Year's Day event in Woburn, MA, on January 1, 2026 includes two events:
- 5 miles - road race
- 3 miles - walk
Entry fee is $25. The fee increases after December 31, 2025. The first 100 entries receive Shamrock swag. Professional timing is provided by Second Wind Timing.
Location and other details
The event is based at the Irish American Club, 147 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801. It is the first race in the 2026 Shamrock Grand Prix series. Winners and age group prizes are awarded in these age categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. There is an after party at the Irish-American Club with food and a cash bar. Participants are asked to bring canned goods or nonperishable food donations for the Council of Social Concern. Additional information is available from the Shamrock Running Club website.
