18th Annual Resolution Run to Kick Cancer 5K
Held January 9, 2027 in Lexington, Massachusetts, the event starts and finishes in front of Lexington High School Field House at 251 Waltham Street. The course is described as fast and flat through historic Lexington and is USATF sanctioned.
The in-person 5K is chip timed and welcomes walkers. Awards are given to the in-person top three males, top three females, top three male cancer patients or survivors, top three female cancer patients or survivors, top three teams, and age group winners. A long sleeve technical t-shirt is guaranteed to participants who register by December 17, 2026.
Advance race packet pickup is Friday, January 8, 2027 at Marathon Sports, 1728 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA; showing the race bib at pickup provides a 20% in-store discount with some exclusions. Race-day packet pickup is at Lexington High School, Field House, 251 Waltham Street. As a USATF sanctioned race, dogs and bikes are not allowed on the course or in the school; strollers must line up behind runners and walkers.
Parking is available in the front and back lots of Lexington High School and at nearby locations including Worthen Road, the Town Pool Complex near 80 Worthen Road, Center Playground at Clark Street and Park Drive, and Lincoln Park on Lincoln Street. Participants are asked not to park in Hayden Recreation Centre lots.
A virtual 5K runs January 9 to 17, 2027 and may be completed anywhere that is safe and convenient. Virtual participants receive a digital bib by email, may submit self timed results for posting, and U.S. virtual participants who register by December 17, 2026 and provide an accurate mailing address will receive a technical t-shirt mailed in mid to late January.
The event raises funds for cancer research and patient support programs. Proceeds from the 2026 race supported several research and patient care organizations; 2027 charity partners will be selected by April. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
