Run the River 5K & 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
Run the River 5K & 1 Mile Kids Fun Run takes place on October 3, 2026 at 1291 Old River Rd, Canton, NC 28716. The edition is the first annual running of the event.
The 5K is a trail-style course that is mostly on grass, includes some gravel, and contains a very short paved section. The terrain is described as mostly level turf for this area, with surrounding hills and countryside forming the backdrop.

Registration for the 5K opens July 23, 2026 and closes October 3, 2026; the registration fee is $35. Registration for the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run occurs on the day of the event and costs $5 per child, cash only. A parent is welcome to run alongside the child. Finishers in the kids run receive a ribbon awarded at the finish line.
