Event Overview
The Asheville Hot Chocolate Races are winter running events in Western North Carolina, first held in 2008. They benefit the Isaac Dickson Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

The event offers chip-timed races and untimed fun runs.

Course & Location
The race starts and finishes at Isaac Dickson Elementary School on Hill Street in Asheville, North Carolina. The course features a downhill start, an uphill finish, and a middle section along the French Broad River.
Post-Race Party
A post-race gathering is held in the school gymnasium. It includes music, booths from local sponsors and vendors, post-race snacks, and hot chocolate made with local ingredients.
Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, the race may be postponed to a later date in January or February. There are no refunds if the event is postponed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
