Event details
The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire's Run the Rail Trail 4-Miler takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Londonderry, NH. The event is a 4-mile run/walk that starts and finishes at the Aviation Museum of N.H., located at 27 Navigator Road in the museum's 1937 terminal building. The event is a fundraiser to support the museum's youth education programs, including a summer camp and a high school plane-building project at the Manchester School of Technology.
Course and logistics
The paved course runs through lightly trafficked streets and the historic village area of North Londonderry, includes two water stops, and covers a recently opened 1.2-mile section of the Londonderry Rail Trail that passes near the Little Cohas Brook Reservoir. The route features a notable elevation rise in the first mile followed by a steep descent; participants are asked to consider not using strollers. Pets are not allowed. Timing services will be provided by NovusMage. Traffic control and security will be provided by the Londonderry Police and Fire departments.
Registration, awards and other notes
Early registration fees and later pricing tiers are listed by the organizer; discounted rates apply for youth and older adult categories. The first 100 registrants receive an event shirt and the first 100 finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers and in additional categories. Early packet pick-up for pre-registered participants is scheduled at the museum classroom on the day before the race. The museum seeks Race Day volunteers and event sponsors.
