Run The Point
Run The Point is a running event on October 3, 2026, held in Palmetto, Florida at 5801 17th St W. The event program includes multiple race options and a combined challenge.

The course follows shoreline trails with views of Tampa Bay and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and may include glimpses toward Egmont Key on clear days. Native wildlife such as spoonbills, osprey, and gopher tortoises may be visible along the route.
Registration opens February 14, 2026 and closes February 14, 2026. Entry fees are listed per event: the 5K is $25, the 5 Mile is $35, and the Double Nickel Challenge is $50. Packet pick up details are to be announced.
Partners for the event include New Balance, Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort as a lodging partner, and Cruise Planners as a travel partner. A promo code RUN is noted for lodging, valid October 1–5, 2026. The organizer also mentions plans for a future running group cruise.
The event will donate 10% of all registrations and any additional donations to Palmetto Youth Center, a community organization that provides before and after school care, tutoring, athletics, arts and STEM programs for youth from elementary through high school.
