Run The Point

Run The Point is a running event held on 10/03/2026 in Palmetto, Florida, at 5801 17th St W. The course follows shoreline trails along the Gulf Coast with views of Tampa Bay and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and on clear days offers glimpses toward Egmont Key. Participants may see local wildlife such as spoonbills, osprey, and gopher tortoises along the route.

The event offers multiple distance options:

• 5K
• 5 Mile
• Double Nickel Challenge (5K plus 5 Mile)

Registration fees listed by the organizer are $25 for the 5K, $35 for the 5 Mile, and $50 for the Double Nickel Challenge. Packet pick up details are to be announced. Event partners include New Balance, Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort as a lodging partner, and Cruise Planners. A portion of registration revenue will support the Palmetto Youth Center; the organizer will donate 10% of all registrations and any additional donations to that local organization. The Palmetto Youth Center provides before and after school care, tutoring, athletics, arts and STEM programs, and other youth development activities for children from elementary through high school.
