Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon - Sarasota
The Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on December 6, 2026 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. The event offers in-person and virtual options and lists multiple race distances.

The course is a one mile flat loop around the southwest side of the lake, off N. Cattlemen Road and World Championship Drive, and is located on the side opposite the main building. The full marathon course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston qualifier.
Support on course includes two aid stations: one with cups of water and bananas, and one for participant provided personal aid. Personal aid may be placed on the aid tables and volunteers will hand off items; aid tables are organized by bib numbers. The event uses chip timing with mile splits and timing clocks that display splits as runners pass each mile.
The event is intentionally limited in size, capped at 75 participants. All registrants receive a race shirt and a custom finisher medal, and awards are given by overall place and standard five year age groups. Early packet pickup is scheduled for December 5 with time and location to be determined. The course has a four hour cutoff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
