About the race
The Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon in Sarasota is held at Nathan Benderson Park. The course uses a 1 mile loop that is described as very flat and set up for consistent pacing. The full marathon is USATF certified and serves as a Boston qualifier.
The event offers both in person and virtual options. Virtual participants may run when and where they choose and submit their finishing time by the end of race day. Organizers provide aid tables stocked with water and an electrolyte drink. Participants may place personalized aid on the tables for use during laps. Spectators and informal cheer crews are accommodated; there is no entry fee for the cheer crew option.
