Event details
The Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon - Sarasota takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Nathan Benderson Park (south side of the lake, off N. Cattlemen Rd and World Championship Dr.). Event capacity is capped at 175 participants and the course is a 1-mile loop described as flat. Available events:

- Virtual Marathon
- Virtual Half Marathon
Both the full marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified, and the full marathon is listed as a Boston qualifier. All participants receive a custom finisher medal. Awards are given in multiple categories, including top 3 overall male/female, top 3 master male/female, top 3 grand master (50+) and senior grand master (60+), and top 3 in age groups from 19 & under through 80+.
Logistics and race features
The event uses chip timing with chip-timed start and finish and chip-timed splits each mile; mile splits are displayed on timing clocks on course. The loop design produces repeated passes by athletes, and entertainment and music will be present along the course. There are two aid stations on course: one with water and bananas and one for personal aid (participants must drop personal aid before the race for volunteer handoff). The course closes at a four-hour race time. Early packet pickup is scheduled for December 6 at Fit2Run UTC (140 University Town Center Dr., Space 110, Sarasota, FL).
