About the race
Run the Peak is a community road race held in Apex, NC on March 6, 2027, with courses that start and finish at Apex Town Hall. The event features USATF certified 5K and 10K courses for 2027 and a Kids Super Hero Fun Run. The event supports the Apex Chamber of Commerce and includes an on-site interactive fair with local health and fitness providers.
Participants may choose to add donations to NeighborUp and Horse and Buddy during registration; 100% of those donations go directly to the selected organizations. Participants receive a commemorative memento.

Registration fees for the 5K are $35 through Oct 31, $40 through Dec 31, $45 through Mar 4, and $50 on race day. Registration fees for the 10K are $45 through Oct 31, $50 through Dec 31, $55 through Mar 4, and $60 on race day. The Kids Super Hero Fun Run fee is $10 and does not include a shirt. Online registration remains open through race day and same-day registration is available.
Packet pickup options include an advanced check-in on Friday, March 5, from 4:00 to 6:30 pm (location TBD), and race morning check-in at Apex Town Hall, 73 Hunter Street, Apex. A virtual race app option is available to track and upload verified times using a phone's GPS.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the first, second, and third male and female finishers in age divisions: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
