Event Details
The Run the Peak event takes place in Apex, North Carolina. The event features several race distances: a 5K, a 10K, and a Kids Super Hero Fun Run. The Kids Fun Run is a quarter-mile.
Registration fees are tiered. For the 5K, fees are $35 through October 31, $40 through January 31, and $45 on race day. For the 10K, fees are $45 through October 31, $50 through January 31, and $55 on race day. The Kids Fun Run costs $10 and does not include a shirt. Registration guarantees for the 5K/10K t-shirt and medal require registration by February 1.
Awards are given for the 5K and 10K races. The top three overall male and female finishers receive awards. Age division awards are given to the first, second, and third male and female finishers in the following categories: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday before the race at Pace Yourself Run Company in Holly Springs. Race day registration and check-in opens at the Apex Town Hall location. Online registration remains open until the race start.
The event supports the Apex Chamber of Commerce. An interactive fair with local health and fitness providers is part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
